Fabrizio Di Salvo
discontinuation explores the acoustic condition of the performance space as an active component of composition. Ideally situated in an environment that allows extended echo, the work integrates spatial reflection into its musical structure, establishing a field of dependency between sound and architecture.

The conventional frontal orientation of the concert setting is dissolved, as discontinuation unfolds without fixed direction through surround sonication. The movement of the composition originates within the performer, gradually expanding outward until the sound becomes spatial rather than linear.
