Many of my works arise from improvised arrangements, from trials and imagination. Each one poses a question to sound and space and develops its own acoustic infrastructure. This takes shape through decisions about material, access and arrangement, and reflects how something is made audible and under which conditions sound comes into being. I am interested in the transformative potential of reinterpretation, especially in the reuse of industrial artifacts whose function can be shifted until they articulate an unforeseen acoustic language. Instrument making becomes like this a method for thinking about material, sound and interpretation. It opens spaces in which technology defines itself not through control but through resonance and unpredictability.
