Fabrizio Di Salvo
skrrrrt studies the perception of time through processes of acceleration and deceleration.
Four guitarists perform a composition in which tempo functions as the main structural element. The work examines how collective rhythm changes when individual speeds diverge, overlap or align. Acceleration is treated as compression, where rhythm condenses into density, while deceleration extends the temporal field and exposes its internal space. The constant negotiation between these movements produces shifts in texture and focus, generating a surface that oscillates between synchrony and drift.
skrrrrt considers musical time as a relational system in which duration becomes the result of shared motion.
